British Columbia update on COVID-19 vaccine distribution for younger children – November 23, 2021

In Victoria, Dr. Bonnie Henry, British Columbia's provincial health officer, and B.C. Health Minister Adrian Dix provide an update on the province’s rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine for children ages five to 11, following Health Canada's approval of the Pfizer-BioNTech Comirnaty vaccine for that age group. The province will begin vaccinating eligible children the week of November 29. Dr. Penny Ballem, the executive lead of the B.C. immunization rollout team, also takes part in the news conference.
