Our trip to Hoi An, Vietnam with kids | Food tour & lantern festival

After some much needed family time in Malaysia, we made our way to Vietnam! This is our first time here and we are SO excited about the experiences we have planned for this month. So if you enjoy these videos, make sure to subscribe so you don't miss one!

Our flight landed in Da Nang and then we made the 30 minute drive to our Airbnb in Hoi An. This city is also known as "the city of lanterns" & was such a charming place to spend a few weeks. Most tourists come to try local foods like Bahn Me or Cao Lau or to experience the magic of Hoi An lit by lanterns at night. We found all of that and more and are excited to take you along!

In this video we go on a tour on a "Hidden Gems Tour" with our guide and now friend, Harry. We love this tour because of the behind the scenes perspective we were given for some of Vietnams local cuisine! Harry also coordinated our basket boat experience as well as a trip out to the rice fields! Then we take you along to experience the magic of Hoi An at night. Hundreds of lanterns, loads of people and the most magical boat ride for our little girls.

Based in South Carolina, we are a full-time traveling family. Colin was born and raised in Malaysia and moved to the U.S by himself at age 19. Meg was a military kid born in Germany and the both us have always had a dream that we would 'travel the world' as kids.
