Currently, the invaders have abducted almost 2,000 orphans and children who have lost parental care from the Donetsk and Luhansk areas to Russian Federation territory.

According to Russian media, orphans and children deprived of parental care in the temporarily controlled areas of Donetsk and Luhansk would be granted Russian citizenship, citing a representative of the Russian president's office on children's rights.
